McEwen, Jun. 11, 1965 – Tenn. — Jan. 16, 2023Mark Allen Rees, 57 of McEwen, TN, and formerly of Robinson, IN,passed away Monday, Jan. 16, 2023. Mark was born June 11, 1965 in Washington, Indiana, to Donald and Ellen Rees. Mark played basketball and baseball at Robinson (Illinois) High School Maroons. He earned a scholarship to play baseball at Wabash Valley College Warriors in Mt. Carmel, Illinois, and earned a try-out for the St. Louis Cardinals.
Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Stephanie Presson (Zach) of McEwen, Shannon Ross (Michael) of McEwen, and Susan Rees (Madison) of Erin, Tennessee; son, Mark Allen Rees, Jr. (Skylar) of McEwen; grandsons, Rees Presson, Luke Presson and granddaughter on the way, Missy Ross; mother, Ellen Rees of Robinson; brother, Mike Rees of Boonville, Indiana and sister, Mindy Krol (David) of Indianapolis. Mark is preceded in death by his wife, Linda Faye "Missy" Rees and father, Donald "Butch" Rees. Visitation for Mark was Wednesday Jan. 18 and Thursday Jan. 19 at Luff-Bowen Funeral Home in McEwen, TN. Interment followed at McEwen Cemetery. A celebration of his life is planned in his hometown of Robinson, Saturday, Feb. 18, 2023, from 1:00 P.M. – 5:00 P.M. at the parish hall at St. Elizabeth Catholic Church.
