The first games of the season did not go so well for Palestine-Hutsonville’s junior high girls’ basketball teams Monday.
The Lady Pioneers played host to Lawrenceville for their season opener and lost both games, dropping the eighth grade game 46-9 and the seventh grade game 34-7.
In the eighth grade game, Tiffany Traxler led PGS-HGS with three points, while Destinee Ramsey, Claire Anderson and Felicia Lawyer each scored two.
In the seventh grade game, Kendra Alumbaugh led PGS-HGS with four points, while Traxler scored three.
Palestine-Hutsonville is scheduled to play host to Paris Mayo Thursday at 6 p.m.
