Interim pastor Rev. Tom Kramer will deliver the sermon at the 8 a.m. service on Sunday, July 25. Sunday school is at 9:30 a.m. All are invited to attend. During the pandemic, the church is following suggestions using masks, social distancing and sanitizing.

Rev. Jeff Shick will deliver the sermon entitled, “The Road Not Taken” during the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, July 25. The scripture is taken from I Kings 2:10-12 and I Kings 3:3-14. The music will be led by Jonathan Clark. There is an extended session for children through the fifth grade. Disposable communion cups can be picked up in the Narthex on the way to the pews. A plate will be on the same table for offering. Social distancing should be followed and masks are optional.

A piano concert and testimony, given by Carole Gerber Journell, formally from Olney, will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 25. There will be no Kingdom Harbor. A nursery will be available for ages newborn to three years.
Sunday evening the children and youth will meet at the Island Free Methodist Church for CLC and youth from 4-6 p.m.
The annual Family Camp, “Transformed,” will continue through Sunday. A church picnic will be held on Saturday, July 24 at noon (EST) at the Gaither’s cabin. Please bring a covered dish to share, table service will be furnished.
The men will meet at Midpoint Cafe in Lawrenceville at 8 a.m. for breakfast and fellowship.
The church is collecting rulers, big pink erasers, glue sticks and scissors in July for the Opeartion Christmas Child Shoebox.

Rev. Bob Miner will deliver the message on Sunday, July 25 entitled, “How Did He Do That?” The scripture readings are from Ephesians 3:14-21 and John 6:1-21. Karen Warner is the liturgist. Frances Brinkley and Dottie Hennessy are the ushers. Tom Agler is the sound operator. Jan Schultz is the organist. There is a staffed nursery during the worship service. Hand sanitizer and masks are available by the entrance. Social distancing should be followed and masks are optional.
The worship service begins at 10:30 a.m. The radio broadcast on WAKO 910 AM and 99.3 FM is heard at that time. The radio broadcast is also streamed live on WAKOradio.com.

The High School Encounter group will swim at Stewart and Delight’s on Friday, July 23 at 7 p.m. Another swim is scheduled for July 30.
Worship will begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, July 24. The greeters are Tim and Boots Zehner. Linda Baker will be in the nursery for birth through age 3. Communion (I Corinthians 11:23-29) is offered each Sunday for all immersed believers. Sunday school is at 10:15 a.m. and offers multiple adult classes as well as for children of all ages.
Each Tuesday the Ladies Prayer Group meets at noon. The evening prayer meeting is from 6:30-7:30 p.m.
Gayle Billingsley is in the prayer room on Wednesdays from 6-7:30 p.m.

The Celebrate Recovery women’s study group meets on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m.
VBS is planned for the week before school begins in the fall.

A traditional service will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 25. Sunday school will follow at 9:50 a.m. Fusion, a contemporary service, is at 10:45 a.m. The Fusion service is streamed live on the website at www.newhopegps.org.

The jr./sr. high youth will meet in the youth house at 8 a.m. on Wednesday, July 28 for donuts and a time of prayer. The evening prayer group meets at 6 p.m.

The month of July’s mission emphasis is Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child, “Christmas in July.” The church is collecting donations to held with shipping boxes. In addition, the church is collecting school supplies for the residents of the Carmi Baptist Children’s Home.
A fellowship meal will begin at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesdays and Bible study will follow at 6:15 p.m. There are three different Bible studies offered including a women’s study, a young/adult family study and a general Bible study.
