CIRCUIT LAWRENCE COUNTY
In the Matter of
AMBRAW LEVEE DISTRICT,
in the County of Lawrence
and State of Illinois.
Public notice is given that on the 6th day of April, 2021, a Petition for Authority to Levy an Additional Assessment was filed in the Circuit Court of the Second Judicial Circuit, Lawrence County, Lawrenceville, Illinois by the Commissioners of RUSSELL, ALLISON, AMBRAW LEVEE DISTRICT in the County of Lawrence and State of Illinois; that the total amount of the additional assessment of benefits is the sum of $1,500,000.00, plus interest as required by statute; said additional assessment being made for the purpose of making emergency repairs and improvements to the levy system by installing new sewers, head walls and gates in the levy system and the removal of an old pump station which has deteriorated as a result of excessive rainfall and subsequent flooding occurring over a period of time and to deterioration due to age, which repairs and replacements include the addition of dirt and other materials, the removal of brush and trees, if necessary, the installation of riprap, and for the payment of the cost of these proceedings; and that upon filing of said Petition, the same was presented to the Court and the Court set for hearing before the Circuit Court at the Courthouse, Lawrenceville, Illinois on the 13th day of May, 2021 at the hour of 10:00 a.m., at which time and place all interested persons may appear and be heard upon all questions involving said additional assessment, if they see fit to do so.
