Thursday, June 17

The Lawrence Public Library’s Summer Reading Program will be held at 2 p.m. in the auditorium at Lawrenceville High School. The show will feature Richard Landry, magician.

Farmland Assessment Review Committee will hold a public hearing for 2022 farmland assessments at 5 p.m. in the Lawrence County Courthouse Annex.

Celebrate Recovery will be held at Fountain Fellowship Worship Center, 701 State Street, Bridgeport, at 7 p.m.

The Unit 10 Board of Education will meet in regular session at 7 p.m. at Red Hill Jr./Sr. High School.


Saturday, June 19

The Lawrenceville High School Student Council will hold a family movie night featuring Shrek at 9 p.m. at Ed Loeb Field. The event is free and open to students and families of CUSD #20.


Sunday, June 20

Alcoholics Anonymous meeting will be held at the Teen Center, 712 Walnut Street, in Lawrenceville at 10 a.m.


Wednesday, June 23

Red Hill to hold special meeting

The Board of Education of Red Hill Community Unit School District No. 10 will hold a special meeting Tuesday, Aug. 2 at 4 p.m. in the Red Hill Jr./Sr. High School.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended Tuesday that fully vaccinated Americans in parts of the country with “substantial or high transmission” of COVID-19 should return to wearing masks indoors, citing new data on the highly contagious Delta variant.

Gold Star Mission wants to never let a hero be forgotten and will be commemorating the nearly 300 Illinois service members who have died since the 9-11 tragedy, with a bicycle ride through the county on Sept. 22.
