Jesse White calls for new MLK statue on Capitol grounds

White will contribute the first $5,000 to fund the project

SPRINGFIELD — Illinois Secretary of State Jesse White is calling for the creation of a new statue of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and is urging that it be placed in a prominent location on the Capitol grounds in Springfield. White will contribute the first $5,000 to the fund established for designing and building the new statue of Dr. King.

SPRINGFIELD — Lawrence County has been issued a tentative property assessment equalization factor of 1.0000, according to David Harris, Director of the Illinois Department of Revenue.

ERBA announces Illinois Rental Payment Program

The Embarras River Basin Agency Housing Counseling Department is a sponsor of Illinois Rental Payment program, a joint application with landlords and tenants. Applications are not being accepted until Mid-May but IHDA is asking those needing assistance to gather their documents now.
