It was a rough go for high school girls’ basketball teams from Lawrence County Thursday night, as both Lawrenceville and Red Hill dropped Little Illini Conference games in lopsided fashion.

A slow start prevented Red Hill High School’s boys’ basketball team from continuing their winning ways Tuesday night, as they saw their two-game winning streak snapped with a 65-50 loss at Marshall in Little Illini Conference play.
Lady Indians lose to Newton at LIC tourney, 48-20
Offensive struggles continue to plague Lawrenceville High School’s girls’ basketball team. During the recent Little Illini Conference Tournament, the Lady Indians went 1-2 and scored a total of 77 points in those three games, including 29 total in a pair of losses. The latest of those defeats came Wednesday, Jan. 19, as the Lady Indians fell to Newton, 48-20, in a consolation semifinal.
