Lady Indians lose to Newton at LIC tourney, 48-20

Offensive struggles continue to plague Lawrenceville High School’s girls’ basketball team. During the recent Little Illini Conference Tournament, the Lady Indians went 1-2 and scored a total of 77 points in those three games, including 29 total in a pair of losses. The latest of those defeats came Wednesday, Jan. 19, as the Lady Indians fell to Newton, 48-20, in a consolation semifinal.

EAST PEORIA –– Two of three entries placed and two of three set school records for Red Hill’s junior high track teams at the IESA Class 2A State Finals over the weekend, but they were not the same two entries in both instances.
