Salukis want to continue strong play on the road
Winning can be contagious and that seems to be the case for Red Hill High School’s football team. The Salukis have put together a strong start to the season and played solid football for the most part through the first four weeks of the season, which head coach Billy Gray hopes continues for the foreseeable future.

Salukis rally late to beat Newton, 22-17
Two fourth-quarter scores erased a two-touchdown deficit and lifted Red Hill High School’s football team to a come-from-behind victory Friday night. The Salukis hung with host Newton for three quarters Friday night, then used a pair of fourth-quarter touchdowns – and two-point conversions – to erase and 11-point deficit and pick up a 22-17 victory.
Red Hill Unit 10 approves return to learning plan, budget
The Red Hill Community Unit School District No. 10 Board of Education met in regular session on Sept. 22 where the board passed the budget for fiscal year 2022-23.
Chamber discusses upcoming events
The Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce met on Sept. 21 for its monthly luncheon meeting where plans for upcoming events such as the Trunk or Treat and the annual Homecoming celebrations at both county schools was discussed.
