Mary E. Middagh, age 82 of rural Bridgeport, passed away Wednesday, September 22, 2021 . She was born in Terre Haute, IN on January 27, 1939 to John Edward Sheehan and his wife Harriett Mildred (McCoy) Sheehan.
On May 24, 1958, Jesse C. Middagh (known by many as Jake or J.C.) married Mary Sheehan in Harrison, AR, and he preceded her in death in 2009.
Mary was a homemaker, farmers wife, worked at the First National Bank of Bridgeport, retired from Golden Rule, and owned and operated the Bridgeport laundromat along with Jake. She was also a member of New Hope Christian Church and attended when she was able.
Surviving family includes: one son- Edward Middagh and wife Staci of rural Bridgeport: one brother- John Sheehan and wife Dottie of Bloomington, IN: and four nieces.
She was preceded in death by: her parents- John E. and Mildred Sheehan: husband- Jesse C. Middagh: grandson- Dayton O. Middagh: and one brother- Jim Sheehan.
A funeral service will be held Monday, September 27, 2021 at the Cunningham Funeral Home in Bridgeport at 1:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 11:00 a.m. until service time at 1:00 p.m. Burial to follow at Lawrenceville City Cemetery.
