Indians, Salukis compete in 7-on-7 in Robinson Saturday

ROBINSON — Results were mixed for Lawrence County’s two high-school football teams Saturday, as they were among 16 area teams that competed in a 7-on-7 event Saturday at Robinson High School.

Lawrence County’s 12-year-old Cal Ripken all-star baseball team went 1-2 at the Ohio Valley Regional Tournament in Lexington, Ky., last week. The Lawrence County squad finished their postseason run with a record of 5-3, which included a state championship. Cal Ripken 12s go 1-2 at Ohio Valley Regional

Lexington, Ky. — While they were competitive throughout, the stay for Lawrence County’s 12-year-old Cal Ripken all-star team in the Ohio Valley Regional was not as long as they hoped.

Extreme 10-under travel softball, based in Flat Rock, won the championship at the USSSA Great Lakes Nationals in Evansville last week.
