Norma Lee Jones, age 92, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 02, 2021 at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Vincennes, Indiana. She was born on April 18, 1929 in Seminole, Oklahoma, the daughter of Harold J. and Thelma Marie (King) Waggoner. She married Hugh L. Jones on August 19, 1951, and he preceded her in death on October 26, 2008.
Norma was a homemaker. She was a member of the First Christian Church in Lawrenceville, Lawrenceville Garden Club, and Christian Women Fellowship. She enjoyed sewing, needlepoint, embroidering, and spending time with her grandchildren.
Preceding her in death were her parents and husband.
Survivors include her daughter, Jan Welsh and husband, Bill of Sun City Center, Florida; two grandchildren, Megan Dellapina and husband, Jesse and Andrew Welsh and wife, Shannon; and one great-grandchild, Giovanni Dellapina.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 11:00 AM CDT at the First Christian Church in Lawrenceville. Visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 PM until 6:00 PM CDT at Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the First Christian Church Memorial Fund.
