When the temperatures outside start to fall, there are several things around the house that should be done to prepare for the colder weather. A cheap and easy way to make your home more energy efficient when the temps fall is to change the direction of your ceiling fans.

Parkview Jr. High School inducted 21 new members to its National Junior Beta Club during a Sept. 27 ceremony in the gymnasium at the school. New eighth grade members that were inducted include: Zoey Andrews, Mailey Baker, Westin Hunt, Isaiah Roqueta, Jace Wells and Sophia Zellers. Nuclear chemist to speak at local church

The New and Used Curriculum and the Free Methodist Church in Lawrenceville are hosting an event on Saturday, Oct. 8 that welcomes Dr. Jay Wile to speak to the public.

The Sumner Fall Festival returned in 2022 and as in the past, the Saturday afternoon parade was a highlight drawing a large crowd. The parade was led by the Lawrenceville VFW Post #2244 members presenting the colors of our nation.
