Red Hill releases calendar, fee information for 2021-22 school year



 

 

BRIDGEPORT — The Red Hill Community Unit School District No. 10 has released its calendar and fee information for the upcoming 2021-22 school year.

Classes for students will officially begin on Wednesday, Aug. 18 after Monday, Aug. 16 and Tuesday, Aug. 17 being reserved for a district workshop.

On Friday, Sept. 3, schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. for school improvement day. Monday, Sept. 6 there will be no school due to the Labor Day holiday.

A district workshop will be held on Friday, Oct. 8 and no school will be in session for students on that day. Monday, Oct. 11 the district will observe Columbus Day with no session.

Thursday, Oct. 21 is another school improvement day and students will dismiss at 1 p.m. Parent/teacher conferences will be held on Oct. 21 in the evening and Friday, Oct. 22 in the morning. No school will be in session on Oct. 22.

There will be no school on Thursday, Nov. 11 due to Veteran’s Day and Thanksgiving break will be held Wednesday, Nov. 24 – Friday, Nov. 26.

On Tuesday, Dec. 21, schools will dismiss at 1 p.m. for school improvement. The winter holiday break will begin on Wednesday, Dec. 22 and run through Monday, Jan. 3. Students will return to class on Tuesday, Jan. 4.

School improvement days are again set for Friday, Jan. 14, Friday, Feb. 18, Friday, March 18 and Monday, May 23. Students will dismiss at 1 p.m. on those dates.

The district will observe Martin Luther King Day on Monday, Jan. 17 and President’s Day on Monday, Feb. 21.

Spring Break will be held Monday, April 11 through Friday, April 15.

The last day of the 2021-22 school year is tentatively set for Monday, May 23. The last student attendance day will move if “emergency days” are used throughout the school year.

Regular dismissal times will be 2:37 p.m. for Bridgeport Grade School and Sumner Attendance Center. Red Hill Jr./Sr. High School will release at 2:45 p.m.

District registration materials will be available online through Skyward Student Mangement System beginning Monday, July 26. The site can be found are: skyward.iscorp.com/RedHill10ILStuSTS. Once on the website, click the Registration 2021-2022 tile for each student. To complete the online registration, you will need your Skyward parent login and password information.

Material fees for kindergarten students are set at $70 per child. Elementary students, first through eighth, will pay $85 and high school students will be charged $115.

Driver Education fees will be $100 and the technology fee is set at $25. The technology fee will max out at $50 per family.

The fan bus fee will be set at $5. Band and chorus students, in junior high and high school, will be charged a $10 fee.

Student athletic participation fees are $40 per activity, for all grades. The athletic participation fee will max out at $80 per child and $160 per family. Activity lists include: football, volleyball, softball, cheerleading, dance, golf, cross country, track, scholastic bowl, wrestling, baseball and basketball.

Athletic event admissions will cost $3 for all students in all buildings. Adults will be charged $4 for entry. Season tickets for boys and girls basketball are available at a cost of $20 per student and $25 for adults. Reserved chair seats are $40. A family, district-wide, all-sports pass will cost $150. Anyone wishing to add chair seats to the family pass must add an additional $15 per chair. Golden passes are available for ages 62 and older and include bleacher seating at a cost of $10. Season tickets, chair seat passes, all-sport passes, golden passes and employee passes are invalid for tournaments and fundraising admissions.

Red Hill provides an easy and convenient pay option for school fees. Payments can be made online through RevTrak, a national credit card payment processor. Instructions for how to pay with RevTrak can be found in the registration information section of the Skyward account.

Student schedules can be picked up in-person from the child’s school office or at the registration day, once all registration materials have been completed and all registration fees have been paid.

All registration packet information must be completed and submitted and all outstanding fees from prior years must be paid before student schedules and/or student’s classroom assignments will be released.

New students must visit their respective school and complete a new student registration packet.
