Lawrenceville, Oct. 15, 1934 – Ill. — Oct. 15, 2022Virginia Rose O'Dell Logan, age 88, of Lawrenceville, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at her residence. She was born on October 15, 1934 in Norwalk, Ohio, the daughter of Howard E., Sr. and Margaret I. (Ostrander) O'Dell. She married Edward J. Logan on June 02, 1952, and he preceded her in death on November 05, 2017.

Virginia was a 1952 graduate of Wakeman High School, and worked as the office manager at L.A. Woods. She was very active in her children's activities as they were growing up, from PTA to Little League; as well as sports, 4-H, and scouts. Her current memberships included the St. Lawrence Catholic Church and Huron County Chapter of Ohio Genealogical Society, and she was a charter member of the Lawrence County Genealogical Society. She was an avid researcher of local and family history.

Preceding her in death were her parents; husband; two brothers, Howard O'Dell and Nicholas O'Dell; one sister, Margaret Needles; one grandson, Steven A. Logan, Jr.; and one great-granddaughter, Avery Alice Drummond.

Survivors include five children, Edward J. Logan, Jr. of Collins, Ohio, Steven A. Logan and wife, Jodie of New London, Ohio, Michael H. Logan and wife, Sandy of Sullivan, Ohio, Dave S. Logan and wife, Pam of Lawrenceville, Illinois, and Teresa (Terri) Logan Bledsoe of St. Francisville, Illinois; one brother, Richard O'Dell and wife, Sandi of Eufaula, Alabama; 12 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren, with the anticipated arrival of two more.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, October 21, 2022 at 11:00 AM CDT at the Emmons-Macey & Steffey Funeral Home in Lawrenceville, Illinois, and may be viewed with the following link: www.facebook.com/emmonsmaceysteffey. Visitation will be on Friday from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM CDT at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Lawrenceville City Cemetery. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
