Singpiration
Singspiration at First United Methodist, 12th and Maple in Lawrenceville, will be held on Sunday, Nov. 15 and will feature Lovell Baldwin. Please take safety measures to attend. Lovell has been with Singspiration for many years and used to perform with her children, the three J’s. She is retired from nursing after 52 years. Lovell currently plays the piano at the Birds Free Methodist Church in the absence of their pianist. She is married to her husband, Neil. Lovell will bring a fun display of musical numbers and keeps the evening interesting by quizzing the audience on the hymns.
The service begins at 6 p.m. Cindy Wilson will emcee the service and lead the singing. Cindy Wilson will also give the Bible quiz. Lovell Baldwin will play the piano. The strings, with Jeannie Borden on cello; Susan Fischer on ukulele; and Esther Brumley on violin; will play for the Prelude and Hymns.
Pastor Jonas Hamilton, along with a group of stringed musicians, will bring the program on Sunday, Nov. 22.

Pisgah Presbyterian
Bob Christy will preach on Sunday, Nov. 15 at First Presbyterian, Bridgeport, at the 9:30 a.m. service. Pisgah and Lawrenceville Presbyterian are invited to attend. Ushers are Phyllis Tewell and Gena Hedrick. Jan Schultz will play the organ. Social distancing will be practiced. There is elevator access available.
New Hope Christian
A traditional service will be held at 8:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. Fusion, a contemporary service, will be held at 10:45 a.m. The Fusion service is streamed live on the website at www.newhopegps.org.
Norma Hesler will greet at the traditional service and Greg Smith will give the Call to Worship. Tom Cunningham will serve at the Lord’s Table.

The Soup for the Soul fundraiser lunch hosted by the Sisters of LIFE will take place on Sunday, Nov. 15. Homemade soups can be picked up for a free will donation. All money raised will go to the food pantry. This year’s event is carry-out only.
The monthly leadership meeting will take place at 4 p.m. Evening services are at 6 p.m. The jr./sr. high youth group will meet in the youth house from 6-8 p.m.

Rev. Tom Akers will deliver the sermon entitled, “Treasured Relics” based on Matthew 25:14-20 in the 10 a.m. service on Sunday, Nov. 15. The music will be led by Jonathan Clark. There is no greeter or extended session. Disposable communion cups should be picked up in the Narthex on the way to the pews. An offering plate will be on the same table. Masks are optional and social distancing should be followed.

There will be no services on Sunday, Nov. 15 due to the uptick in virus cases. The church office remains open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon. Bridgeport First UMC
Worship services begin at 9 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15 and will be held in the sanctuary. Pastor Deetta Gaither will deliver the sermon entitled, “Christ Our Sure Foundation” using text from I Thess. 5:1-11. Noisy offering for November is for the Benevolence fund. Those attending are asked to follow social distancing with seating arrangements and facemasks as designated. Service guides will assist with welcoming and seating.
The Women’s Goal Diggers Bible study meets on Tuesdays at 10 a.m.

The James 1:27 Ministry will prepare a Thanksgiving dinner for the residents of the United Methodist Village apartments and cottages at noon on Saturday, Nov. 14.
The weekly Bible reading is from Romans 1 - I Corinthians 3.
The message for the 9 a.m. service on Sunday, Nov. 15 is entitled, “Watchful Eye” and is based on the scripture found in Psalm 121. The Call to Worship will be given by Jim Moye.
