It's a win-win
The Crawford Memorial Hospital prize van was out in the county Thursday. They set up at Walmart with many prizes for participants who answer a short, easy, question. Everyone receives a gift bag of goodies and a prize of their choice. The hospital will continue the prize van until September with different locations throughout the county. Truck fire
The Robinson Fire Department responded to a truck on fire last week at a house on 850N. The fire was quickly extinguished and the truck was towed. The house was not damaged and no one was injured. Angela Downing | Daily News

Everyone's an artist
The Robinson Public Library hosted a free painting party Saturday. Art is Relative supplied the materials and direction from the owner, Karla Reis. The group painted three bird houses and many added touches such as vines, grass, birds and a cat. The library covered the fees for the event. Angela Downing | Daily News

Thursday a truck, driven by Daniel Hille, Effingham, ran into buildings in the 100 block of West Main in Oblong after the driver fell asleep at the wheel, striking a street light pole, going off the roadway and striking the building. There were four buildings that received damage from the crash. Hille was taken to St. Anthony Hopsital in Effingham. The area was blocked off  following the crash but after engineers inspected the buildings, the area is open again.
