Crawford County Catholics
The Memorial Mass for departed parishioners will be celebrated at St. Elizabeth at 10:30 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 7.
There will be a Prayer and Communion service Monday, Nov. 8 through Friday, Nov. 12 at 8 a.m. at St. Elizabeth.
A canned food drive will be held from Nov. 3 through 17. Donations may be brought to the Parish Center or placed in a box at the back of St. Elizabeth Church. Food will be distributed by Upper Room Street Ministries, a 501c3 charity that delivers food and other supplies to local families.
Advent Confessions for all parishioners will be at St. Elizabeth from 5 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 2 and at Our Lady of Lourdes from 4 to 4:45 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 3.
There are two parishes; St. Elizabeth in Robinson and Our Lady of Lourdes in Oblong. Both parishes are administered by Fr. Suresh Sambaturu at the Catholic Parish Center near the Community Center in Robinson.
Mass times for St. Elizabeth are as follows; weekly masses are on Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday at 7:30 a.m., Tuesday at noon; Wednesdays Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament is from 8-10 a.m., Saturday vigil mass, 4:30 p.m. and Sunday masses, 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.
Our Lady of Lourdes Parish masses include: Sunday mass at 9 a.m. and confessions on Saturdays from 3-4 p.m. at St. Elizabeth or by appointment.

Willow Creek Cumberland Presbyterian
The annual Bazaar and Soup Day will be held at 9 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 5 in the Martinsville Community Center basement. There will be crafts, snacks and baked goods including cakes, pies and breads. Persimmon pulp will also be available for sale.
Choice of chili or vegetable soup, along with a chicken or ham salad sandwich, your choice of homemade desserts and water will be served from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m.
“Take-out” will be available. If you’d like to pre-order for pick-up, please call or text Norma at 713-865-0022. Be sure to provide your name, contact number and the time you’d like to pick up the order. Also, please include the number of meals, including the kind of soup (chili or vegetable) and kind of sandwich (chicken salad or ham salad). You will be able to select your desserts when you pick up.
Oblong First Baptist
Pastor Justin Sweitzer reminds everyone that Sunday, Nov. 7 will be the Veterans Honor program at 6 p.m. at the church, all veterans and families are invited. The annual ‘Hanging of the Green’ service will be Nov. 28 at 6 p.m. in preparation for Christmas.
Church times are Sundays at 9:30 a.m. for Bible study followed by worship at 10:30 a.m. Evening services are at 6 p.m. both Sunday and Wednesday. SWAT/SWORDS groups also meet on Wednesday at 6 p.m.

Palestine First Christian
Pastor Dennis Steckley will give the announcements, morning message and prayers concerns. He will also be the organist. Elder Tim McDaniel will preside over communion. Sunday is All Saints’ Day.
On Wednesday, Nov. 10, M/M/N will meet at 5:45 p.m and the board meeting will follow at 6:30 p.m.

Flat Rock First Missionary Baptist
Nov. 1 through 21 the church is collecting food items to prepare four Thanksgiving food baskets to share with local families.
Nov. 6, at 9 a.m., the church will have a breakfast and then pack shoeboxes for Operation Christmas Child.
On Nov. 9, at 6 p.m. Betty’s Women on Mission group will meet at the church for their monthly meeting.

Robinson FUMC offers two services Sunday morning. The first service will begin at 9 a.m. Masks will be required for this service, and it will also be streamed on www.robinsonfumc.org, on YouTube, and on WTYE 101.7 FM. At 10:30 a.m., there will be an in-person worship service where masks will be optional. This Sunday, Nov. 7, Pastor Jay Regennitter will be preaching and Brennan Tracy will be serving as liturgist.
