We had booked a package deal vacation at Montego Bay in Jamaica. I had ground off my nose past my eyebrows with solo law practice and once the plane was on its way I actually started to enjoy not working. 
The B&B was very nice, high on a hill top overlooking the bay. Ahh, relaxation; the second day we strolled the beach at lunchtime and came upon a local vendor basting chicken over a fire. He was chatty and entertaining and the little umbrella rum drinks got us in the mood as our lunch was readied. 
The menu was on a chalk board and ‘Jerk Chicken’ for 2 was $5 U.S. We took our seats as directed and the chef went to the grill and selected a nicely done, plump and sizzling whole chicken and brought it over to the bar where we sat, laying it right in front of us. Then he reached under the bar and pulled out a shiny giant cleaver and before I could say, ‘What are you doing!?’ chopped the whole chicken to pieces, bones and all. I had never seen anything like it in my life! He laughed at our expressions and then divided the product into two piles and deftly scooped them up and served us each a portion.  
I hesitated; but $5 is $5, so we ate it, picking out the bones of course which proved easier than the Jerk Fish I imagined. Actually, it wasn’t bad at all, once we’d gotten past the shock of how it was done.
We will have a new Speaker of the House this week. It will be ‘O.K. Mon,’ even if it is frightening to watch. Later, after much good has been done by all concerned, we can laugh about it; even if the guy is a jerk.
