Rain altered the schedule a bit, but play was able to be completed without much incident at the annual American Junior Golf Association Junior All-Star Tournament Presented by the City of Robinson at Quail Creek Country Club last week.

QCCC crowns Senior, Super Senior club champions

Two champions were crowned at Quail Creek Country Club recently, as they held their annual club championships for their Senior and Super Senior divisions during the weekend of July 24-25.

Robinson and Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville's football teams line up against each other at a joint practice late last month as part of "contact days" for both teams as they prepare for the upcoming season. Official practice begins Aug. 9, with Robinson opening its season at Charleston Aug. 27 and OPH playing host to Dupo Aug. 28 in Palestine. Josh Brown | Daily News

IHSA releases football schedules for 2021 fall season

Although it has only been a few months since we’ve since high school football, we are about to see it again. Late last week, the Illinois High School Association released schedules for high school football teams throughout the state, as they prepare to start their season on time after having last year’s season delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
