Hutsonville offering additional aid to clean up properties

The Village of Hutsonville has been working to help residents get their yards cleaned up. There is a littering and nuisance ordinance in place and several residents are in violation of the ordinance.

Palestine schools plan holiday events

The Palestine Community Unit School District 3 Board of Education met Wednesday for its monthly meeting and the tax levy was presented to the board.

Around 120 runners and walkers took off from the Robinson Fire Protection District for its Turkey Trot for Tots. The 5K run weaved through streets on the south side of Robinson and the participants finished at the fire department. Money raised from the event will go toward the Toys For Tots program that provides toys for local children.
