Karen Sue Wrice


 

 

Pearland, Texas — Former Robinson resident, Karen Sue Wrice passed away peacefully on August 9th in Pearland, Texas, at the age of 73, surrounded by her family. Karen was born on July 16, 1949, to Elbert (Abbie) Wrice and Norma Jean Wrice. She graduated from Robinson High School, Class of 1967. Go Maroons! Afterwards, she studied nursing in Chicago. Upon graduation from nursing school, she married and was a Navy wife for several years. She moved to Houston in 1978 and pursued a career in nursing, becoming a RN and eventually working in the Texas Medical Center for a private physician. Karen retired in 2014. In addition to nursing, Karen was a voracious reader and enjoyed wildflowers, especially Texas Bluebonnets. Karen was loved, will be dearly missed, and always remembered.

Karen is survived by her daughter, Pamela Koffend, her son Kevin Wrice, her sister, Patti Seibel, and her brother, Ray Wrice, and as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father, mother, and twin sister, Sharon Boyce.

Per her request, a celebration of life was held in her honor on August 13, 2022.
