Maroons lose to St. Anthony in two OTs, 79-72

Sometimes the other team just makes more plays than you and that unfortunately was the case for Robinson High School’s boys’ basketball team Tuesday night. The Maroons hosted Effingham St. Anthony for a non-conference contest and four quarters was not enough to decide a winner. In fact, two extra periods were needed and when the dust finally settled, the Maroons came out on the short end of a 79-72 decision in double-overtime.

One up, one down were the results for Hutsonville-Palestine’s junior high softball team Saturday, as the Lady Tigers opened their season in a three-team, round-robin event at Casey-Westfield.
