Longview, Wash. authorities are continuing their investigation into the homicide of a homeless woman with a Robinson connection.
Lisa Jo Patterson, 57, was found dead behind the Longview YMCA on Valentine’s Day. Her last known address was listed as 605 S. Cross, Robinson, the former Allen Sanitarium.
Little new information about the case or the woman have been revealed, but police are in contact with Patterson’s family in Indiana.
Police said Patterson was a transient from Illinois living in Longview.
They first encountered her when she was arrested for “illegal camping” in Kelso, Wash., in 2019. Kelso and Longview are neighboring communities on the Oregon boarder.
Police have not released the official cause of death but said “there is sufficient evidence for investigators to believe that this is a homicide.”
Authorities also have not given any additional details concerning what evidence they have, nor have released any details of the autopsy conducted Feb. 17.
