Normal has now sailed away for good

When will things be normal again? They won’t, that ship has sailed. In small ways and large the past is not coming back for a do-over. It’s more upsetting the older you are I suppose, having invested so much time and energy in accommodating your life to the way things are (strike that, should be were). The young are more flexible and to prove it they still laugh out loud, act like they are invincible, and flaunt their youth with cheerful good natured glee.
