RHS wrestlers finish 2nd at Olney Duals

Another solid day on the mat resulted in another piece of hardware for Robinson High School’s wrestling team Saturday. The Maroons won two of three dual matches to finish second at the annual Olney Duals, which were held at Olney Central College.

Back-to-back games resulted in back-to-back losses for Oblong-Palestine-Hutsonville’s boys’ basketball team at the Little Okaw Valley Conference Tournament in Dugger, Ind., Saturday. OPH opened play in the four-team tournament with a 73-58 loss to Martinsville, then dropped a 67-50 decision to Union-Dugger in the third-place game.

Lady Maroons beat Marshall, claim share of LIC title

A chance to grab a share of the Little Illini Conference regular season championship was right in front of Robinson High School’s girls’ basketball team Thursday night and the Lady Maroons were able to grab it. The Lady Maroons scored a 58-46 win over Marshall in their final LIC game of the season, earning RHS a share of the league title with Paris, as both teams finished with 6-1 records.
