RHS wrestlers win dual at North Knox, 54-30

Wrestling their first dual match in a month did not seem to phase Robinson High School’s wrestling team Wednesday night. The Maroons have returned to the mats following a lengthy layoff due to the holidays and some COVID-19 issues and were able to come up with a big win on the road, as they downed North Knox, Ind., 54-30.

RHS boys 3rd at Sectional, advance four to state; OHS qualifies one
Solid performances against a tough field led to a handful of local athletes qualifying for the state meet, while several others fell just short. When all was said and done, Robinson High School’s boys’ track team finished third out of 19 teams that competed in the meet and qualified four individuals for state in a total of five events.

Maroons edge Lawrenceville, 5-4, to win Regional opener
The third time was the charm for Robinson High School’s baseball team Monday evening. The Maroons played Lawrenceville for the third time this season and for the third time, the game was decided by one run. However, the latest meeting resulted in a win for RHS and it came when it counted the most – in the first round of the IHSA Class 2A Newton Regional.
