Dwight, IL, Jul. 3, 1947 - Ill. — Apr. 6, 2022Sharon K. Francis, age 74, of Dwight, formerly of Robinson, IL, passed away, Wednesday, April 6, 2022, at St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL. Visitation will be held from 2 to 4pm on Sunday, April 10, 2022, at Hager Memorial Home in Dwight, IL. Funeral services will be private for the family. Cremation rites have been accorded. Memorials in honor of Sharon may be made to the Livingston County Humane Society. Hager Memorial Home in Dwight is in charge of arrangements.
Sharon was born July 3, 1947, in Robinson, IL, she was the daughter of John and Peggy (Rowe) Richardson. She married Joel Francis on July 31, 1965. He survives in Dwight, IL.
Also surviving is her children, Laura (Joe) Dolan of Washington, IL, John (Carrie) Francis of Joliet, IL ; grandchildren, Nicholas Dolan of East Peoria, IL, Alexander (Sami) Dolan of East Peoria, IL, Bailey Dolan of Washington, IL, Victoria Francis of Coal City, IL, Aria Francis of the United Kingdom, Jacob and Samantha of Joliet.
She was preceded in death by her parents and step father, Eddie Larsen.
Sharon graduated from Robinson High School in Robinson, IL. She was a correctional officer at the Dwight Correctional Center for 13 years. She enjoyed taking motorcycles rides and traveling and camping. She loved spending time with friends and family. Sharon will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
