Staley is currently the secretary/treasurer for the Eaton Water District and has been there for 15 years.
In her position, she handles payroll, payroll taxes, accounts payable, billing, planning the yearly budget and taking minutes at the meetings.
She has also been the secretary for the Hardinville water district for the past six years.
There she also takes care of payroll, accounts payable, payroll taxes and billing.
On top of that, she has worked as a deputy in the county clerk’s office for the past year. Her duties there also include payroll, recording, accounts payable, tax redemptions and vitals, along with many other responsibilities.
“I have been helping with elections for the past 24 years,” she said.
“As clerk, I intend to continue implementing and improving on things that our current clerk has put into place,” she said. “I will keep educating myself in order to improve the office and make things as easily accessible as possible to the public.”
She has some ideas to help the community and the Clerk’s office work better together.
“I plan to keep up with the changes in technology in order to better serve the community,” Staley stated. “Within a short amount of time, I will have to replace some of the staff in the office due to retirement. I promise to hire capable and friendly staff to assist you.”
