It took longer than they had hoped, but Lincoln Trail College’s men’s basketball team finally picked up its first win of 2023 Saturday. The Statesmen snapped a six-game losing streak, as they jumped out to an early lead and cruised to a 71-62 win over visiting Rend Lake College in Great Rivers Athletic Conference action.

Lady Maroons beat Marshall, claim share of LIC title
A chance to grab a share of the Little Illini Conference regular season championship was right in front of Robinson High School’s girls’ basketball team Thursday night and the Lady Maroons were able to grab it. The Lady Maroons scored a 58-46 win over Marshall in their final LIC game of the season, earning RHS a share of the league title with Paris, as both teams finished with 6-1 records.
